CALL
FOR
PAPERS
The Fourth
International Workshop on Bioinformatics and Systems Biology
will be held in Kyoto from
May 31 to June 3,
2004, as a part of a
collaborative program in bioinformatics involving three
leading research institutes:
Boston
University in the
US,
Humboldt
University
Berlin
in Germany and
Kyoto
University in
Japan. With the
rapid growth of the fields of bioinformatics and systems
biology, a research forum is strongly required for graduate
students and young researchers to exchange new ideas and
report recent progress. Such an experience would provide a
precious opportunity to encourage their continuing research in
these fields. This workshop will bring students and
researchers together to present and discuss their research
objectives, approaches and results in
bioinformatics. |
SCOPE
The scope
of this workshop covers all conceivable aspects of bioinformatics
and systems biology. It includes all computational approaches
leading to the understanding of biological phenomena at various
levels.
PAPER
SUBMISSION
GUIDELINES
We call two categories of papers: full
papers and short papers. Each paper submitted to the category of
full papers will be reviewed by at least two members of the program
committee. All accepted full papers will be published in
Genome Informatics Series Vol. 15, No.1, and be indexed in
Medline. A paper which is not accepted as a full paper can
be submitted as a short paper. One author of any accepted
full paper will be required to give an oral presentation
at the workshop, and accepted short papers will be
presented as either an oral presentation or poster. For
