Title |
Computational prediction of post-translational modification sites
|
Abstract |
Post-translational modification plays a major role in protein folding and functions of proteins. In addition, PTMs increase the functional diversity of the proteome. Hence, identification of PTM site is an important topic in bioinformatics. In this talk, we will discuss computational methods developed in our lab for PTMs like Phosphorylation, Hydroxylation and Sulfenylation. We will also discuss other ongoing projects in the lab including parallel algorithms for symmetry detection and protein structure prediction.
