Abstract |
There seems to be some reluctance for computer science and biology students
to devote themselves to bioinformatics and computational biology. The
Bioinformatics Program at the National University of Singapore was
established in 2005 to transform that reluctance into excitement. In this
talk, I will discuss give an overview of the Bioinformatics Program, with a
focus on the Computational Biology Lab at the School of Computing. In
particular, I will describe the courses, the activities, and a selection of
our research projects. I will also describe our vision and future
plan.
